April 11 STEM Fest Family Event
Saturday, April 11, 2026 (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM) (MDT)
Description
Hands-on interactive activities, freebies and fun are in store April 11 during the Saturday morning STEM fest, a FREE event for families in the exhibit hall at Gila County Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
“STEM is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology Engineering and Math; interactive exhibits and hands-on activities in recent years shone a spotlight on copper companies that offer promising careers in these fields, such as Capstone, BHP and Freeport,” said Gila County School Superintendent of Schools Roy Sandoval.
“Health care providers are invited to host educational exhibits and booths, other local industries as well -- and we also welcome the Globe, Miami and San Carlos school district staff to join us and feature each of their unique curricula for science, technology engineering and math.”
If your business, organization or club wants to host an activity the explores Science, Technology Engineering or Math, Gila County Schools Superintendent’s Office Event Coordinator Vanessa Barajas welcomes new participants to email and request a sign-up form (vbarajas@gilacountyaz.gov) or call her office 928-402-8788 or 928-961-2417 cell.
